I was born in the sunny seaside town of Hastings where I grew up and have now stayed. I always had an interest in art and animation when I was younger which was emphasised and inspired further by my Photography teacher in secondary school. I found school difficult but it was the teachers who got me through it, to where I am now. Those teachers used creativity in subjects that could have easily been tedious, making class fun and engaging e.g using zombies in Maths and playing war games in History.
I then studied two years of Graphic Design, Photography and Media Studies in college as well as a year of Medieval History: so many crusades. Afterwards, I went on to do a Foundation Diploma where I got my art student battering.
From there I moved out and studied a BA (Hons) in Illustration & Animation at UCA Canterbury (cracking uni). There I learnt many skills, met amazing people, partied, drank and ate oven chicken nuggets in my Beatles mug. It was there that I developed and found my design style and visual identity in both Illustration and Animation.
While at UCA I worked with Vaughan Oliver and The Pixies doing animation and video work for gigs as well as producing illustrations for The Turner Contemporary Gallery and doing various video editing jobs for the University.
I like storytelling. I like telling real stories, ones thats are funny and almost unbelievable but also ones that are hard hitting and emotional, whether that be through illustration, film or animation and music (I love music).
